Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The Third Grade had a great Friday filled with celebrating and preparing for St. Patrick's Day!  First Mr. Quinlan came in and taught them a song.  Then they got to visit with their prayer partners, and finally, they heard amazing leprechaun conversations from the Fourth Graders.

Lenten Journey

The Third Graders are spending time this Lent thinking about how to be more like Jesus.  We do this by going to mass, praying with our prayer partners, and doing much more.

Saying Thank You

St. Cyprian Chargers understand the meaning of gratitude.  Although we had to postpone it last week, today the Third and Seventh graders walked over to River Grove town hall to present thank you cards and to thank the people for all of their support throughout the years!  Even though it was cold outside our hearts were warm!

Moving in Science and Traveling Back Into Time

The Third Graders had a great week!  In Science we learned how molecules move and found out how temperature can affect movement.  In Social Studies we are getting ready to learn about how our country first started so we played Oregon Trail online!

Fun With Centers

We work very hard throughout the week, so on Fridays we look to do our work a little differently through Centers.  In teams we extended what we learned throughout the week in English and Vocabulary, had fun with Math using Chromebooks and Prodigy, and also did random acts of kindness by making cards and pictures for others.

Fun with Science

The Third Graders started a new unit in Science in which they are Physicists learning all about matter.  We started off by comparing and con

trasting the mass of different objects using a balance and cubes.
